“Confession of a Shopaholic 2009”
I can hardly claim to be an expert on the definition of a shopaholic in Confessions of a
Shopaholic given that I do not even shop. However, I can confirm that Rebecca Bloomwood (Isla
Fisher) is a major addict who is powerless to resist the rush that shopping provides or the
conviction that the world is a better place as a result of her purchases.
In New York, journalist and compulsive liar Rebecca Bloomwood (Isla Fisher) is a compulsive
shopper who can't help but buy trendy clothes and outfits in high end stores and has a number of
unpayable credit card debts. She aspires to work for the upscale Alette Naylor (Kristin Scott
Thomas) fashion magazine, but she is unsuccessful in her goal. When Becky loses her job, she
spends a lot of time drinking with her best friend Suze (Krysten Ritter), writes a derogatory letter
to the editor of "Successful Saving" (Hugh Dancy), and sends an article to Alette to highlight her
potential. She accidentally switches the correspondences in the mailbox, and Luke hires her to
write a column for his magazine called "The Girl in the Green Scarf" using straightforward
language and metaphors that are understandable to the average person. Becky is avoiding Derek
Smeath (Robert Stanton), a debt collector, everywhere, claiming that he is an ex-boyfriend who is

talk show, where she meets Luke and they fall in love. However, her deceit and debts put her in a
difficult spot with Suze and Luke, her audience.
The silly story "Confessions of a Shopaholic" features a shallow, unlikeable red-haired character
who embodies the dumb-blonde stereotype and who, surprisingly, manages to make people laugh
with some absurd circumstances. One of the funniest jokes involves Finland and the Finnish
language, and includes Becky presenting Alicia to the Finnish guys as a prostitute after learning

the language in the credits. I think those who are interested in fashion and stylish outfits will much prefer this forgettable movie to me. Taking up new hobbies is one of the best ways to get over compulsive shopping disorders. The majority of compulsive shoppers start out when they are bored or stressed. Try to find a healthier alternative if you use shopping as a way to unwind or for entertainment. Consider giving yoga a try. Not only is it excellent for relieving stress, but you can also enjoy it alone or with others as a fun, healthy hobby.
