INQUIRIES,

INVESTIGATION AND

IMMERSION

Teacher: Mr. Richard Riobaldez Date: 06/03/

  1. With its visual aspects, it has an average weighted mean of 4.84, which means that the physical appearance of the device helps the learner understand more the concept presented; easy to set up; has an original design.
  2. The mechanics of this device revealed that have clear and easy to understand mechanics and gave a clear goal to the users for it has a weighted mean that ranges from 4.33 – 5. and interpreted as very adequate. The experts agreed that if the device will be given to students, they can guide them for they can explain to them how the device will be used and further supported by its average weighted mean of 4.67.
  3. In terms of its durability, it has an average weighted mean of 4.78. It simply implies that the device is durable; cannot be easily destroyed; and made from durable materials like the wood panel and nails.

PRACTICE TASK 2

Findings:

  1. The usual cause of food spoilage base from the research conducted are as follows: a. Improper handling of food b. Improper storage c. Inadequate preparation and cooking d. Invasion of harmful microorganism
  2. To prevent spoilage, handle and store food properly, kill microorganisms by heating or boiling it, adding salt, vinegar or sugar to food as they act as a preservative, and finally packaging the food properly to prevent insects, rodents, bacteria and foreign bodies from entering preventing this can damage food.

LEARNING CHALLENGE

Task 1

  1. The conclusion is that a part of the Research paper that brings everything along in a very logical manner.
  2. The conclusion provides a clear interpretation of the results of the research carried out to further prove, support and emphasize the importance of the study.
  3. A conclusion must summarize the whole paper and explain its main purpose.
  4. Identifying how a gap in the literature has been addressed. The conclusion can be where you describe how a previously identified gap in the literature (described in the literature review section) has been filled by the research conducted. Task 2 Title: Effect of stress on academic performance of students in different streams Findings
  5. High levels of stress can cause major effects academic performance and mental health of the students. Academic stress can be conceptual as a student’s interactions between environmental stressors, the student’s cognitive appraisal of and coping with the academic- related stressor and physiological or psychological response to the stressor. Learning and memory can also be affected by stress though an optimal level of stress can enhance learning ability, too much stress can cause physical and mental health problems, reduces self-esteem and may affect the academic achievements of students
  6. According the survey conducted, the majority of the students were science streamed students. Around 50% of the students were stressed due to study-related issues whereas 28.4% faced stress due to personal reasons and around 9.9% were stressed due to parental pressure. Excessive stress among students was found to reduce effectiveness of their study which contributes to bad habits and results in negative long-term consequences, including absenteeism, poor academic performance, and school dropout. Chart 1 shows the major

Teacher: Mr. Richard Riobaldez Date: 06/03/ factors for in academic level. Academically, the major for stress was grades include 70% of the students were stressed academically due to grades. Nearly 21.1% of the students were worried due to failure and around 13.6% of the students were faced with parental pressure and peer pressure. Academic stress involves mental distress regarding academic challenges or failure or even an awareness of the possibility of academic failure.

  1. Based from the chart it explains the stress relieving factor and from whom they sought help or opened up to. Majority of the students opened up to their friends, and the results show that 43.2% of tithe students would listen to music for relieving the stress. Unexplained headaches, migraine, and hypertension are becoming very common among teenagers – often leading to their stressful lives. Even recreational activities such as sports, music, painting, or swimming have become as competitive as studies. Emotionally, students felt tired and faced lack of sleep due to stress. 42.2% and 30.9% faced tiredness during the day a lack of sleep. Around 14.8% feel sick or ill. The impact of academic stress is also far reaching: High levels of academic stress have led to poor outcomes in the areas of exercise, nutrition, substance use, and selfcare. Furthermore, academic stress is a risk factor for psychopathology. For example, fourth, fifth, and sixth-grade girls who have higher levels of academic stress are more likely to experience feelings of depression. Stress management techniques include self-management, conflict resolution, and positive attitude, self-talk, breathing, meditation, exercise, diet, and rest. Effective stress management also involves learning to set limits for the issues that create stress. Nearly 66.7% of the students did not feel a need to visit a mentor to handle their stress. Conclusions:
  2. Stress is the body’s reaction to a challenge. Although stress is often perceived as bad, it can actually be good in some respects. The right kind of stress can sharpen the mind and reflexes.
  3. Stress is the body’s natural response to challenges. When a student experiences high levels of stress or chronic stress, regardless of her age or grade, it can interfere with her ability to learn, memorize, and earn good grades as well as lead to poor physical, emotional, and mental health.
