A. I strongly believe one of the speakers was so focused on himself during the conference we attended because his ego and immaturity as a public speaker was so evident. He addressed the audience like he was a god or someone so much better than them. It was so obvious that he was extremely self-conscious. B. The speaker in question had any extremely poor presentation, he clearly didn’t plan much before getting on the stage as he was all over the place when he was talking and you could tell that audience was bored stiff. This speaker was not really into his presentation, he probably felt his earnings from this event was not worth preparing for as he could not hide his uneasiness and lack-luster attitude. In my opinion he committed the four unforgivable sins of a public speaker. C. I am convinced the audience listened to all I had to say because I made them realize that I knew a number of individuals who are quite influential among them. I clearly communicated to the audience some of my past experiences which I knew resonated with them. I made the audience aware of my capabilities as a public speaker and as an individual by presenting to them my past accomplishments. The audience immediately became aware of what I could do when given the opportunity and platform. I also made sure to pass on a lot useful information to my audience, making them more knowledge in a number of ways concerning the theme of the event. D. I am convinced it is safe to say I was the best speaker at the event because I was intentional about my body language, I sent subtle messages to the audience by maintaining eye contact. I had a very powerful entrance having previously evaluated the audience and familiarizing myself with the stage. I gradually took them from the known to the unknown, I was intentional about maintaining brief pauses to make my arguments really sink in. I used a lot of hand gestures to drive my points home. I made sure to avoid looking rigid in my posture and reduced their anxiety levels by coming down to their level and by also being very liberal in my mindset. E. Well my advice to my co-speakers who could not find common ground with the audience is that firstly, they should not give room to assumption when addressing people which they clearly did. They cannot appear to be arrogant or imposing when speaking to an audience. They also cannot afford to be indifferent about such events in the future. Lastly, they have to take control wherever they find themselves and stay in command when they take the stage.
