Why is it important to teach Araling Panlipunan?

• (^) The objective of teaching Araling Panlipunan is to develop students understanding in primary knowledge on aspects of historical, geographic, political, and economics issues together with other social disciplines in order for them to put into practice the pillars of learning such as the learning to know , learning to do , learning to live together and learning to be.
• (^) Produces “functionally literate and developed Filipino”. ( st )

SOCIAL UNDERSTANDING - the skills that permit

people to understand and infer our and others' mental

states, such as intentions, desires, and emotions.

INVESTIGATIVE – to observe and see how people

reaction on different kinds of situations in the society.

Also to determine different types of people in that

specific community to come up with a analytical data.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS - the ability to convey or

share ideas and feelings effectively. Conveying

messages without misinterpretation or misleading others.

SENSE OF IDENTITY - you know who you are, what

you value, and how you see yourself in society. There

are many components of our identities, such as religious,

political, and gender, among others, and knowing

yourself fully is essential to feel integrated into society.
