The guard dogs act 1975 is a piece of legislation in the united kingdom that aims to regulate the use and keeping of guard dogs. The act sets out rules for the use of guard dogs in premises, the requirement of a handler to control the dog, and the display of warning notices at entrances. It also establishes the need for a license to keep guard dogs in kennels and sets out the conditions for granting and revoking such licenses. The act also specifies penalties for contravention of its provisions.
