Independent Variable: Reward Status Dependent Variable: Number of Books Read Control Variable: Interest in books H 0 : High achieving students do not perform better than low achieving student when writing stories regardless of whether they use paper and pencil or a word processor. Independent Variable: Instrument Used for Writing Control Variable: Ability Level of the Students Dependent Variable: Quality of Stories Written
