This subject introduces students about the aspects on Heritage Tourism and its
context. It focuses on the activities that foucs on the commonalities between
heritage tourism and cultural tourism. This topic involves understandings on a
various concepts between heritage tourism and forms of cultural tuourism.

At the end of the discussion the students will be able to:
1. Explain the context of heritage tourism and its importance to the community.
2. Recognize the commonalites between the heritage tourism and cultural tourism
3. Familiarized with the earliest manifestation of heritage tourism and illustrate
forms of cultural heritage tourism.

What is Heritage Tourism???
Term to be as Cultural Heritage Tourism
Is a branch of tourism oriented towards the cultural heritage of the location where
tourism is occurring. -- Wikipedia
According to the National Trust for Historic Preservation, Heritage Tourism is
“traveling to experience the places, artifacts and activities that authentically
represent the stories and people of the past and present. It includes cultural,
historic, and natural resources.”
The older the country or destination is……. The more prestigious history it
gets…...and the more enchanting places it could have …….. and can be enjoy with by
the visitors or travelers
