Cadena epidemiologica
AGENTE CAUSAL Lentivirus que tiene la capacidad de producir una enfermedad, su presencia es necesaria para dar inicio a la cadena epidemiológica. RESERVORIO Una vez ingresa al organismo, se reproduce y se prolifera en un grupo de células inmunitarias en el cuerpo, usando su mecanismo para multiplicarse.
TRANSMISION PUERTA DE SALIDA Por donde abandona el agente causal del cuerpo infectado y continuar el ciclo por las siguientes vías: vía sexual, vía sanguínea, vía vertical (madre-hijo), leche materna. Se transmite a través de contacto entre fluidos corporales que poseen una alta concentración viral.
